Poladarium 2015

Das Poladarium 2015 ist ab sofort erhältlich und wird ausgeliefert! Zum vierten Mal erscheint das Poladarium nun, und wie in den vergangenen Jahren kann man auch dieses Mal das ganze Jahr hindurch kleine Schmuckstücke von bekannten Fotografen und Newcomern entdecken. Auf der Vorderseite jedes Kalenderblattes befindet sich ein Pola, auf der Rückseite eine kleine Story zum Hintergrund des Bildes sowie Infos zum Fotografen.

365 Polas, von einer Jury ausgesucht, drucktechnisch aufwendig verarbeitet mit Lack und Spezialpapier – eben etwas ganz Besonderes. Ein Abreißkalender, wie man ihn aus Großmutters Küche kennt. Dieser Kalender enthüllt Tag für Tag ein neues Polabild mit einer eigenen kleinen Geschichte.

Das diesjährige Titelbild zeigt den Sänger Seal, der eines Tages das Impossible Project Ladengeschäft in Wien besuchte – Sarah Jungreithmayr (siehe Jury am Ende des Artikels) ergriff die Chance und schoss dieses wundervolle Foto.

Jakob Feigl: For years, he was the head of the editorial photo team of the German magazine “neon”. Since 1st of June 2014 he is part of the editorial photo team of the »Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin«.

Sarah Jungreithmayr: As the analog princess of Vienna, she started her career at Lomography till she slipped over to The Impossible Project. As the Shop manager of three stores in the last few years in Vienna, Sarah established her interest in instant photography – a physical medium that comes in line with Vinyl – another favorite of hers. Coming from Upper Austria & living in Vienna, Jungreithmayr will start a new project together with The Impossible Project’s founder, Florian Kaps. The shop called “Supersense” will bring an analog experience through photography, music & lifestyle into the hands of Vienna.

Calin Kruse studied graphic-design in Mannheim and Trier, diploma in Visual Communication, department of Visual Arts at University of Applied Sciences Trier (2004–2009). He is Publisher of “dienacht”, a magazine for photography, design and subculture.

Prof. Matthias Leupold, born 1959, engages in creating staged photographs since the ’80s. Since 2007 he is Professor of Photography and Rector in Berlin at BTK. His work was shown in over 50 exhibitions all over the world since 1983 and is represented in international collections. The main subject of his artistic work in the last two years has been the legacy of dioxin in Vietnam. The documentary “Lighter than Orange” is part of a long-term project that includes a NGO, conferences, exhibitions and publications.

Prof. Elke Seeger, born 1964 in Düsseldorf, studied free graphics and photography at the Arts Academy of the city of Düsseldorf and at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. In 1991 she graduated as designer (diploma) from the Folkwang University of the Arts (communication design) with distinction. Seeger’s work of art has been displayed at many exhibitions. Her work is represented in many different collections, for example at the Arts Academy of Düsseldorf, the art collection in Veste Coburg and the art collection of the German Bundestag.
